What is Horseware's No Fly Zone (NFZ) technology?

Horseware No Fly Zone Technology (NFZ) is a broad-spectrum anti-insect treatment that is bound to the fabric of Horseware Ireland's rugs. It is effective at keeping flies, ticks, and fleas at bay for the spring and summer months. No Fly Zone Technology is kind to horses' skin and their coats, and it is incredibly durable, lasting on the rug for up to 70 washes.

No Fly Zone Technology works by disrupting the insect's nervous system, which prevents them from biting or stinging. The treatment is also effective against a wide range of insects, including mosquitoes, horseflies, and stable flies.

This does not stop insects from initially landing on the rug, but, once they have landed, the No-Fly Zone™ Technology will take effect and they will not return. Any flies which do happen to land on the rug do not stay long enough to bite. In this way, No-Fly Zone™ is a broad-spectrum anti-insect treatment. It is kind to your horse’s skin so will not adversely affect your horse or their coat. It’s also incredibly durable, lasting on the rug for up to 25 washes.
