The Rambo Protector Plus Fly Sheet (No Fill + Hood) is constructed from Horseware's unique, mesh, durable self-repairing breathable fabric, which also offers exceptional UV protection, making it a fantastic acquisition for all horse owners and those with more boisterous horses! As with all Rambo rugs, comfort and performance are paramount, and this rug does not disappoint.
Highlights include an extended hood shape with a detachable close contact hood with extended chest coverage to offer maximum protection against flies and insects. The rug features a tail strap for added security. Horseware added extra depth to the knee and an extra wide belly band with Velcro fastenings and three consecutive surcingle straps to give enhanced secure coverage, and the supersized tail flap with silky lining, also found on the neck and shoulder, continues the rug's protective theme.

USE
This is a FLY SHEET, intended to protect your horse from flies/insects on warm days while offering UV protection and breathability.
Turnouts, blankets & sheets serve a variety of functions. Turnouts act as a waterproof insulator layer, helping to maintain condition in cold weather. Stable blankets are not waterproof and simply provide insulation for warmth. Other sheets (fly, cooler, competition, scrim, etc.) excel at a number of other functions.
Please be aware that conditions may vary in a short time span, and always ensure your horse is comfortable under the current conditions.
Most brands offer a manufacturer's warranty. In the unlikely event you experience an issue/defect, please contact us. We will work with the manufacturer to process your warranty claim, simplifying your life and resolving your issue as quickly as possible!
All Horseware Ireland products are designed and manufactured at the highest quality standards and come with Horseware's 2 Year Warranty. Learn more here.
We recommend having all products PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED.
If washing product yourself, please follow these recommendations.
Washing Instructions
Remove excess dirt, mud and hair.
Ensure all velcro is closed and clips/straps are attached prior to washing.
Machine wash at 30º C/85º F (cold) on a gentle or delicate cycle using mild soap or a blanket cleaning wash.
Line dry / air dry only away from a heat source.
Do NOT use detergents or fabric conditioners.
Do NOT bleach.
Do NOT tumble dry.
Do NOT Iron.
Storage Instructions
Once dry, fold neatly into a breathable storage bag.
Store in a cool, dry place away from any moisture or damp areas, avoiding excessive heat and UV exposure.
Your original packaging can be used as an excellent bag for multiple purposes, such as an equestrian gear bag or off-season storage.
Size & Fit
Size
Using a soft measuring tape, measure from A (the center point of the chest), across the widest point of the shoulder and to B (the center point of your horse’s rear, under the tail). Ensure your measuring tape is level and taut, which is easiest with two people. This measurement (in inches) is your horse’s "True Size."
Our Advice: This product fits TRUE TO SIZE. You should rely on your horse's "True Size" (measured above). If between sizes we recommend sizing up.
Some products run large and others small, which is why we offer our own fit recommendation. Bear in mind that every horse is different and that your measurement is a guide only. We carry many different styles to suit all shapes and sizes.
Shipping & Returns
SHIPPING
All $100+ orders receive free Economy or Ground shipping within the contiguous U.S., while orders under $100 are charged a reasonable fee. Expedited shipping is available on most (but not all) products.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days of receiving your order. All products must be returned CLEAN, in NEW condition, and with ORIGINAL packaging.
We understand the need to try an item on your horse or animal to ensure it fits. When doing so, please leave all original tags on your product until you are sure it fits. When trying on a product for fit, we encourage you to first put a clean sheet on your animal and then try the new item over the clean sheet. If a return is needed after trying an item on, please make sure the returned product is clean (which includes wiping off hair, dirt, etc.).

2022 version not as good as the 2021 version
I bought 2 of the 2021 oatmeal colored Rambo Protector fly sheets for my geldings last year and have been happy with them. I bought 2 of the 2022 silver colored ones for my mares this year, and have been disappointed with the quality. The hardware seems cheap and flimsy compared to the original ones, and the attachments for the tail strap are not reinforced as they used to be, so the binding…

lovely fly sheet but definitely not for my horse. Have tried 78( his usual Rambo size) and then a 75. Both sent back.

Really nice fly sheet and amazing fabric
It's really nice. I love the fabric, the tummy coverage and the **** coverage. It does run big. I have a stocky size 78 QH and probably could have gotten a 76 for him but it's not bad. It does slide back a bit which leaves the area behind the front legs more exposed than I'm guessing they would be if I had gone down a size but he seems comfortable in it. The only reason I didn't give it 5…

Rambo fly sheet
I evidently didn’t order the correct size. Ordered the same as winter blanket he wears. It is very long on the back. Belly band hangs low and he pees on it. It is as snug as it will adjust Good product. Just not a good fit

Great fly sheet
This sheet fits well. The size is generous. My horse is wearing a 75, but often needs a 78 in other brands. So far it is holding up well. We've had some very hot and humid weather and he seems comfortable.
