How to Fit your Dog Blanket
Just like horse blankets, dog coats come in many styles and options. Deluxe Parka? Windbreaker? Waterproof? Dry Dog Bag? Whatever the weather, we have the right style to protect your pup, and the size charts to match! Each product page has its own sizing guide depending on the manufacturer.
For the most part, dog coats are measured by length. Some styles also require you to measure the chest circumference/drop and/or neck.
- Length: measure from the base of the collar to the base of the tail to find length
- Girth: measure the widest part around your dog's chest behind the front legs.
- Neck: measure around the neck, where a collar would normally sit.

Simple steps to select the right size coat:
- Place a measuring tape at the base of the neck and measure along the spine and stop at the base of the tail.
- The measurement in centimeters corresponds to the dog coat size, which are sized in 5cm increments. If your dog measures between sizes, size up if your dog is on the rounder or thicker side, and size down if they are thinner.
