USE
This is a FLY SHEET, intended to protect your horse from flies/insects on warm days while offering UV protection and breathability.
Turnouts, blankets & sheets serve a variety of functions. Turnouts act as a waterproof insulator layer, helping to maintain condition in cold weather. Stable blankets are not waterproof and simply provide insulation for warmth. Other sheets (fly, cooler, competition, scrim, etc.) excel at a number of other functions.
Please be aware that conditions may vary in a short time span, and always ensure your horse is comfortable under the current conditions.
Most brands offer a manufacturer's warranty. In the unlikely event you experience an issue/defect, please contact us. We will work with the manufacturer to process your warranty claim, simplifying your life and resolving your issue as quickly as possible!
All Horseware Ireland products are designed and manufactured at the highest quality standards and come with Horseware's 2 Year Warranty. Learn more here.
We recommend having all products PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED.
If washing product yourself, please follow these recommendations.
Washing Instructions
Remove excess dirt, mud and hair.
Ensure all velcro is closed and clips/straps are attached prior to washing.
Machine wash at 30º C/85º F (cold) on a gentle or delicate cycle using mild soap or a blanket cleaning wash.
Line dry / air dry only away from a heat source.
Do NOT use detergents or fabric conditioners.
Do NOT bleach.
Do NOT tumble dry.
Do NOT Iron.
Storage Instructions
Once dry, fold neatly into a breathable storage bag.
Store in a cool, dry place away from any moisture or damp areas, avoiding excessive heat and UV exposure.
Your original packaging can be used as an excellent bag for multiple purposes, such as an equestrian gear bag or off-season storage.
Size & Fit
Size
Using a soft measuring tape, measure from A (the center point of the chest), across the widest point of the shoulder and to B (the center point of your horse’s rear, under the tail). Ensure your measuring tape is level and taut, which is easiest with two people. This measurement (in inches) is your horse’s "True Size."
Our Advice: This product fits TRUE TO SIZE. You should rely on your horse's "True Size" (measured above). If between sizes we recommend sizing up.
Some products run large and others small, which is why we offer our own fit recommendation. Bear in mind that every horse is different and that your measurement is a guide only. We carry many different styles to suit all shapes and sizes.
Shipping & Returns
SHIPPING
All $100+ orders receive free Economy or Ground shipping within the contiguous U.S., while orders under $100 are charged a reasonable fee. Expedited shipping is available on most (but not all) products.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days of receiving your order. All products must be returned CLEAN, in NEW condition, and with ORIGINAL packaging.
We understand the need to try an item on your horse or animal to ensure it fits. When doing so, please leave all original tags on your product until you are sure it fits. When trying on a product for fit, we encourage you to first put a clean sheet on your animal and then try the new item over the clean sheet. If a return is needed after trying an item on, please make sure the returned product is clean (which includes wiping off hair, dirt, etc.).

Palomino sensitivity to insects
My palomino Morgan, Thor is absolutely tortured by flying insects and will hide in the barn all day to avoid them. I thought I would try this Amigo Bug Rug from Horseware, along with Arab sized Cashel fly boots. I decided on my purchase based on the reviews from customers on the products and Performance Horse Blankets. Thor is very comfortable in his fly sheet and boots. The quality is…

Runs large
I know that sounds funny when it is an XL size but the sheet I bought was a size 81 XL but fit more like an 84 XL or even larger! I love the desk front on the fly sheets, it’s much lighter weight than buckles. Other than it running much too large, I love the sheet.
Great product. First time I have tried fly sheets and keeps our horses so much happier.

Yes on this one!
This is the ONLY fly sheet that has a neck cover attached and good belly coverage that fits my Shetland pony. He’s hard to fit but this is a quality fly sheet that fits great, well made, and has good coverage. I just bought another one for a back up -just in case!
