A 600D outer layer is great when you're in a warmer climate, but often it's not tough enough.  Problem solved.  This popular turnout by Horseware has a 600D outer with a ripstop weave for extra toughness.   

The Amigo Hero Ripstop Plus Turnout is both waterproof and breathable and features a detachable hood, an antibacterial, anti-static, shine enhancing polyester lining, a classic double fastened front for added security, front leg arches to maintain freedom of movement and cross surcingles under the belly.
